New for this year is the "Walk the Lake" training program. If you are a walker or want to begin running and need help getting started.... This is the group to get involved with! Walk the Lake will help you achieve your goal of walking/jogging in the 5k, Relay, Half, or Full Marathon.

We look forward to another good training season.

Stars & Stripes Park at Lake Hefner for 6 miles.
From the parking area at N. Portland and S. Lake Hefner Dr., proceed east on S. Lake Hefner Dr. over the Hefner Parkway bridge to where the road becomes N. Grand Blvd. Continue east and then south on N. Grand Blvd. to N.W. 63rd. Make a U-turn and return to the point of origin.

6:00am Stars & Stripes Park at Lake Hefner - 8 miles

Aug. 14

6:00am New Location - Stars and Stripes... We are moving from the Chesapeake Boathouse to Stars and Stripes Park due to construction in the parking area at the Boathouse. At the Lake we’ll run an out and back course to the west from Stars and Stripes Park. There will be water at 2.5 miles and at the 5.0 mile turnaround. You can hit the 2.5 miles stop on the way back - 10 miles

Aug. 21

6:00am Dr. Tom's house - 318 NW 17th in Heritage Hills - we’ll run 3 miles down to Chesapeake Boathouse, 6 miles on the river trail, and then 3 miles back to Tom’s house. Half marathoners may want to turn around at the Boathouse and head back to Tom’s for a total of 6 miles. We will have a water stop at the Boathouse and out on the River Trail. - 12 miles

6:00am Edmond - Mitch Park, 10 miles of "rollin' hills". Covell Road (NW206th) between Santa Fe and Kelly. Mitch Park - City of Edmond, Oklahoma

6:30am Lake Stanley Draper SE 104th and Midwest Blvd. From there we will run clockwise around the lake, heading north from the marina area. We are running on Sunday to avoid conflicting with the Brookhaven Run in Norman on Saturday. - 14 miles

Draper Lake Marina Directions – from the intersection of I-35 and I-240 go east on I-240 4 miles to Sooner Rd. Go south on Sooner Rd. 2 miles to SE 104th. Go east on SE 104th about 2.25 miles until you reach the parking area. There is no exit from I-240 to Midwest Blvd.

6:30am Stars & Stripes Park at Lake Hefner (12 miles)- We suggest you run the Kelsey Briggs half marathon (series race) as a great way to see where you are in your training. If you don't need to run 12 miles? Run the Kelsey Briggs 5K (not a series race), the Swazi 5k (series race), the Capitol Challenge 10k or 5k (neither are series races).
