In order to aid the Nominating Committee, the club is currently open for
suggestions for nominees.
The list of candidates will appear in the October club
newsletter and the election will be held by ballot at the Club Meeting
to be held 6:30pm, Monday, Oct 18, 2010.

Wanted...Volunteers for The Landrunner

Water Stop
on September 25. If you can volunteer your time, we
want YOU! We have
online registration time slots from 9:30 am to 12:30am in
three-and-a-half (3 1/2) hour increments. Of course you can
volunteer for more than on time slot. We would like to
have at least 4 volunteers per time slot but the more the
merrier. Also needed, can you supply food, drinks, grill, TV, music,
generator? We want to make it a festive social event -including brats and
beer. Those interested can

Fisher D. "Fish" Lewis, 88, passed
away on Dec. 13, 2009 peacefully surrounded by family at Integris
Hospice Center.
Please keep Fisher's friends and family in your prayers during this
difficult time.

Fall Landrunner Training
started July 31st.
It's time to start
training
for the Route 66 Marathon. The marathon is
on November 21, 2010, get
register
to receive our email updates!
The club is sponsoring a trip to the
Mother Road Marathon this fall.
Online Bus Registration is first come, first serve, with only 48
seats available on the OKC Landrunner bus. So do not wait, get
Registered today!
As always, the training is FREE and anyone can attend! We look forward
to another good training season.

Moffitt awarded the
Fisher D. Lewis Award
Kathy Moffitt, a long time member of the Oklahoma City Landrunners Club
was awarded the inaugural FISHER D. LEWIS award at the Club's annual
banquet February 15, 2010. Kathy has been active in road racing for over
25 years and has won awards in many events including: 3km, 5km, 8km,
10km, 12km, 15km, 25km, 1/2marathon, full marathon and many bicycle road
races. Kathy is also a multi medal winner in the recent Senior Games in
California.
